Famous Face = Ad Space
In the hilarious new Bavaria beer commercial, promoting their non-alcoholic product, Charlie Sheen announces his comeback, post-rehab. In this commercial, he expertly pokes fun at his darker days.
This commercial is both clever and super charming. In fact, it kind of makes you forget why you ever hated this #winning loser in the first place.
Many celebrities have been the faces of our favorite products. Whether they are promoting the brand, or, in Charlie’s case, promoting themselves, these are the commercials and products that linger in our memories.
Not only does having a recognizable face promoting your brand raise awareness and perhaps boost sales, it also helps the celebrity to market and brand themselves. Today we look at the Top Five Celebuzz Worthy Commercials, plus the one that might put Chuck back on the map.
Aw, what a good sport! And now, our five runners up:
Sofia Vegera shows off her awesome bod in a commercial ad for Pepsi. This is the ad that first put Sofia Vergra in the lime light, and, even to this day, people still talk about that itty bitty purple bikini. We don’t even care that it’s not in English.
“Va-va-voom” is the same no matter where you’re from.
If you’re a boy, you’ve probably envisioned a similar scenario before. Carls Jr. proves that sex sells
as they released this X-rated car wash commercial with Paris Hilton.
Since then, reality stars such as Kim Kardashian and Audrina Patridge have followed suit.
Birthday suit, that is.
Betty White shows off her young spirit in this Snickers commercial, which debuted during the Super Bowl.
You gotta love Betty’s spunk… Everyone wishes their Granny was just as cool.
Remember Britney Spears? Before the meltdowns, and the shaved head, and the multiple failed marriages? It’s tough to recall. I know. But, in her prime, Brit was the sh… best. This commercial had everyone singing and dancing through the ages.
A pop princess shimmy-shaking to the sound of her own automated voice.
If that doesn’t make you want to buy a Pepsi, I don’t know what will.
So, I love Drake. But even more importantly, I now love Sprite. This commercial did two great things.
1) It helped boost the Canadian rappers image to international status
2) It reintroduced Sprite as a brand with a fresh new vibe
