Our Signature Cocktails

With the weekend rolling in, and NXNE kicking off in Toronto, we’re ready to celebrate the end of a good week by mixing a great cocktail.

Nothing says summer quite like rum. The sweetness. The spice. We’re salivating just thinking about it. Whether you’re partial to the dark kind, the spiced kind, or the white kind, there’s certainly a rum-based cocktail that’ll tickle dem taste buds.

And, of course, if it’s gonna be one of those rum-kinda-weekends, there is no other brand that beats the heat better than Bacardi. As they celebrate 150 years of excellence, we’re celebrating right along with them by creating some of our own signature Bacardi cocktails.

That’s right! We put our mixology hats on today and created a few delicious, easy to make cocktails for you to try.

So, while you’re basking in the sun, sipping on something sweet, and slurring (just kidding, don’t slur…) be sure to think of your good friends here at Pulp&Fiber.

“Shorty’s Sangria”

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Bacardi Torched Cherry
1 bottle dry white wine
1 lime cut into thin slices
1 orange cut into thin slices
1 cup raspberries
1 cup strawberries, sliced
5 cups fruit punch
Ice

Directions:
Mix into punch bowl, chill for two hours, serve in a (Jen) short glass.

“The Boy of Summer”

Ingredients:
2 oz. Bacardi Spiced Rum
5 oz. Ginger Beer
Ice

Directions:
Pour ingredients into sippy cup, take to Trinity Bellwoods. Enjoy with your shirt off.

“The Sake Jackaguchi”

Ingredients:
1 oz. Bacardi white rum
1/2 oz. cold Sake
1 oz. Japanese plum wine
1 oz. pear juice
Soda water

Directions:
Pour ingredients into chilled shaker, shake, and pour into highball glass with ice cubes, top with soda.

“The All Encompassing Dylan”

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Bacardi
1 shot of espresso
2 Advil Liquid Gels
Garnish with a French Fry

Directions:
Pour ingredients into sippy cup, take to Trinity Bellwoods. Enjoy with your shoes off.

“Oh My Gullo”

Ingredients:
1 oz. Bacardi Torched Cherry
“Something Natural Sparkling Black Cherry”
A sprig of mint
Ice

Directions:
Pour Bacardi Torched Cherry into tall glass, over ice.
Fill to top with Something Natural Sparkling Black Cherry. Garnish with mint.

“The Ol’ Greg”

Ingredients:
4 oz. Bacardi

Directions:
Pour ingredients into glass. Consume at room temperature.

“Bucky’s Guilt-Free Fizz”

Ingredients:
1 oz. of Bacardi Superior
2 oz. Raspberry Ice Crystal Light
1 oz. Sprite Zero
6 frozen raspberries
Ice

Directions:
Pour ingredients into tall, chilled glass over ice. Leave raspberries to float.

“Balls To The Wall”

Ingredients:
2 oz. Bacardi white rum
2 oz. Lemonade
5 Mint leaves
½ cup of frozen berries
Ice

Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth. Serve in a margarita glass.

“The Throwback”

Ingredients:
2 oz. Bacardi Superior
3 oz. Crystal Pepsi
Ice
Lime wedge

Directions:
Pour contents into glass over ice, garnish with lime wedge.
Put on your snapback and play your favourite tape.

“Lil’ Fig”

Ingredients:
1 California black mission fig
1 1/2 oz Spiced Bacardi
1/2 oz fresh-squeezed orange juice
1/4 oz maple syrup (Grade B, if you can find it)
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
Ice

Directions:
Remove stem from fig, cut it into quarters. Place fig pieces in the bottom of mixing glass,
add maple syrup and muddle into paste. Add Bacardi, orange juice, and balsamic vinegar.
Shake, and strain into short glass over ice.
