Red Bull Solstice: Huge Success
Here, at Pulp&Fiber, we work hard, and party harder. Well, that’s not true. We definitely work harder than we party, but we work reallllly hard, and party only slightly less hard, so yeah, you get the picture.
Last night was the Red Bull Solstice event on Cube’s rooftop patio, and the Pulp&Fiber family was there with bells on.
The Summer Solstice occurs when the axial tilt of the planet’s semi-axis is most inclined towards the star that it orbits. This happens twice each year, at which times the sun reaches its highest position in the sky as seen from the North or South Pole respectively.
Or, if you’re not a scientist like me, it just means it was the longest day of the year. Coincidentally, it was also the hottest day of the year so far.
It’s the second annual Solstice event that Red Bull has thrown, shedding the ‘one-off party’ label it had last year. Judging by the success, it won’t be the last either. Drinks were flowing, and the music was blaring. With this alone, patio hit capacity by 11 pm, and that’s before the scheduled entertainment took center stage! We were floored by an eye-catching Solstice performance. Lena Love delivered a unique routine, accompanied by bongo players, and dancers in amazing costumes.
Guests wore signature Solstice bracelets, and enjoyed complimentary Red Bull that was being passed around in constant rotation to keep the dance floor cool and full of energy.
The patio was packed, and the energy was higher than the humidex. This is because, and it will come as no surprise to anyone when we say this, Red Bull knows how to throw a party. Let’s start with some of the highlights. Naked women. Naked women painted to look the cast iron statues, and let me tell you, I’m now considering a sculpture garden for my backyard. But it didn’t stop there! Decorating every corner, every bar, and every cabana, were dream catchers, candles, gold, gold, and more gold, all paying homage to the various festivals celebrated around the world on this day. There were also naked women painted to look like statues. Not sure I mentioned this yet.
Needless to say, this one’s going down in the books for sure. We can’t wait to kick our summer off with Red Bull next year!
