The New Spoke Club : Pulp & Fiber The Spoke Club has a new website.

The New Spoke Club

We love when clients want to step outside the box and create something totally unique. After all, we’re out-of-the-box thinkers over here.

We recently completed a website redesign for The Spoke Club, a private members club in the heart of King West.  It was important for the website to reflect its members, and their diverse interests in arts, entertainment, events, and media.

The initial concept was inspired by mid century design and the monocle. It began several months ago when talented designer Joelle Wall started toying with the illustrations and themes. “The most challenging aspect of each illustration was creating the characters that could capture the personality of some of the members.” Joelle, who we like to call our little secret weapon, wanted to take a playful approach to the website that highlighted the creative elements of The Spoke Club itself.

Joelle’s proverbial partner in crime was Samer Ziadeh, an ace developer, and together they worked for weeks to make sure the website was flawless. Hours were logged as Samer tinkered and toyed with the functionality of the site, ensuring that the finished product was innovative, interesting to look at, and totally user-friendly.

Using the colourful, quirky icons that Joelle designed, Samer built a system to help the user navigate through different parts of the site. This was a very exciting site to create and we welcome you to check it out at thespokeclub.com.
